This high-quality olive wood Shaddai mezuzah case is adorned with the Hebrew Word Shaddai and decorative etching around it.

The Mezuzah is a miniature parchment with two portions from the Torah inscribed on it.  The first portion begins with the famous words “Shema Israel!” – “Hear, O Israel!” (Deuteronomy 6: 4‑9)

Mezuzah parchments are placed in a special Mezuzah House  – a decorative case that protects the Mezuzah (parchment) from any damage, such as this case.  

Shaddai is one of the names of God. It is abbreviated with the Shin which stands for “Shaddai,” the Hebrew word meaning, “God as our protector.”

The Mezuzah is a symbol that can be seen on the right-hand doorpost of the home. It acknowledges God's sovereignty over the home.
