Ruth: Mother of Monarchy

The lovely story of Ruth the Moabite.  The Book of Ruth tells the account of Ruth, the Moabite, who accepts the God of the Israelites as her God and the Israelite people as her own. In Ruth 1:16 and 17, Ruth tells Naomi, her Israelite mother-in-law, “Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay…” 

Ruth the Moabite, a poor widow goes back home to the Holy land and marries a man of high degree. Their son, Obed, will be the grandfather of King David.

The book is based on the Biblical Book of Ruth.
