  • 1: Widow’s mite.  The Widow’s Mite is a bronze prutah of Alexander Jannaeus (103-76 AD.) This prutah was used as small change during Jesus time.
  • 2: Hasmonean.  This is a bronze prutah of either Alexander Jannaeus (Jonatan), John Hyrcanus I or II (Jehochanan). Or Matthias first minted in the 2nd century BC, but reused during the time of Jesus.

  • 3: Herod Agrippa I.  Herod Agrippa I (37-44 AD) was the grandson of Herod the Great. He is mentioned in Acts 26 as the king of Judea during Paul’s imprisonment. This is his bronze coin which was minted in Jerusalem.

  • 4: Antonius Felix. This is the bronze coin of Antonius Felix (52-60 AD) who is mentioned in Acts 26. He was procurator of Judea at the beginning of Paul’s imprisonment.

  • 5: Porcius Festus. Porcius Festus (59-62 AD) is mentioned in Acts 26 as the Roman governor of Judea who replaced Felix during the time of Paul’s imprisonment.

  •  6. The First Jewish Revolt.  This is a coin minted during the First Jewish Revolt (66-73 AD), as war propaganda supporting the cause for independence.
