Big Berkey Water Filter System - 2.25 Gallon

Enjoy convenient gravity-fed water filtration at home or on the go with the Big Berkey Water Filter System. With a 2.25-gallon (8.5-liter) capacity, this versatile stainless steel system is designed for everyday use by approximately 1–4 people and is well suited for homes, apartments, offices, RVs, travel, and emergency preparedness.

The Big Berkey comes standard with 2 Black Berkey Elements and can be expanded to accommodate up to 4 Black Berkey Elements for increased filtration flow. Its highly polished AISI 304 stainless steel construction provides a durable, compact design, while the upper chamber nests inside the lower chamber for easier storage and transport.

No electricity, plumbing, or water pressure is required. Simply fill the upper chamber and allow gravity to move the water through the Black Berkey Elements into the lower chamber for convenient dispensing from the included spigot.

Filtration Flow Rate

With 2 Black Berkey Elements, the Big Berkey System can produce up to approximately 3.5 gallons (13.3 liters) per hour.*

When expanded to 4 Black Berkey Elements, maximum filtration flow increases to approximately 7 gallons (26.5 liters) per hour.*

Berkey stainless steel chambers are assembled in the USA using U.S. and imported parts. Black Berkey Elements are made and assembled in the USA.

*Maximum flow rates are calculated with the upper chamber filled to the top. Flow rate decreases as the water level in the upper chamber declines.
