"Blessing for the Home" By Israeli Artist Bracha Lavee
The blessing is a print of one of artist Bracha Lavee's felt tapestries. Filled with color and gold accents, and displayed in a dark honey colored frame, this print makes a wonderful gift!
Printing says: "Let this house be blessed from the mouth of both prophet and seer, and let there be heard in this house the voice of joy and the voice of gladness; blessing, plenty and success should fill this house, and there should be endowed on those who dwell in it the blessing of Elijah, the prophet".
Bracha Lavee´s works are inspired by the Holy City of Jerusalem, stories from the Bible, and her deep roots in ancient and modern knowledge of the Holy Land. The vivid, semi-tropical colors found in her works result in strikingly dramatic works of art that also exude the warmth and energy of the Holy Land.
Bracha Lavee was born in Poland in 1948 and arrived in Israel in 1957. She lived and studied in Tiberias, where even as a small child her artistic talents were apparent. In 1970, following graduation from high school and the completion of military service, she enrolled in the Bezalel Art Academy in Jerusalem.
