This Jesus fish wall hanging is carved from olive wood. The wood is skillfully carved into the shape of a fish with the name Jesus inside. Two rings secure a 5-inch long brass-colored chain for displaying this unique carving.
The symbol of the fish has been associated with believers for centuries. It is believed it was used as a secret code scratched into the doorpost of homes to let other believers know that believers lived there. The Greek word for fish is "Ichthus."
