Armenian Loaves and Fishes Dipping Bowl
This gorgeous Armenian ceramic bowl is full of color! Just the right size for a dipping bowl. In Israel this is used as a dipping bowl, you would dip your bread into the oil and herb mixture. This small bowl has an endless number of uses.
It features a mosaic representation of the famous 4th century Christian fish mosaic excavated from an ancient church in Tabgha on the shores of the Galilee.
Process of Manufacturing:
Each individual item is hand made with ceramic clay. Once complete it is placed in an oven at temp. 1000 C until hardened. Each piece is then hand painted using metallic and oxidized paint in order to keep its natural color. Again it is returned to the oven at the same temperature and finished with fine glazing.
