Additional Information

Excerpt from Introduction:

"Where then, does the remembrance of the Messiah fit in the Seder? While we have an obligation to fulfill, the exact procedure is not etched in stone. In a sense, it would be presumptuous for individuals or organizations to "canonize" their own formula for such a purpose. And yet, it is a valid concern that without such a formal addition, we may be tempted to neglect our responsibility as disciples. In this Messianic Jewish Haggadah, we have attempted a balanced approach. As much as possible, we derived the additions that we felt necessary from historical and Scriptural sources. We have clearly delineated our messianic supplements with a graphic decoration appearing along the side of the paragraph. During the Seder, one should feel free to adapt, transpose, skip, or elaborate upon the selections we included, being sensitive to the needs and interests of the participants.

Ultimately, what makes a Seder truly Messianic is not the Haggadah that you use but the people who are present, the memory of our Master on our lips, and the vibrant hope to see him again quickly and in our days."
