The Incense Spices

Excerpt

"The study of the spices that were used for incense in the Temple is fascinating.  For hundreds of years researchers have tried to decipher the mysteries of the spices- what is their source, and how did they reach the Temple.  Thousands of years ago they followed the famous Silk Road from distant China, from Tibet and India, by way of Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Siberia, Buchara, through the Caucasus and Russia, to Rome, Turkey, to Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and of course to the Land of Israel.  From ancient times and for thousands of years afterward, the Spice path served as a route for precious spices, and was an important economic center."

14 pages packed full of valuable & interesting information!
