Yemenite Shofar (Medium) 27" to 29"
This is a beautiful Kudu horn Shofar 27”-29”inches . It is a natural hand crafted, high quality shofar made in Israel. The shofar is mentioned many times in the Old Testament. The shofar played a considerable role in the Fall of Jericho (Joshua 6:15-16).
“So the people shouted, and the priests blew with the horns. And it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the horn, that the people shouted with a great shout, and the wall fell down flat…” (Joshua 6:20)
Mentioned throughout the Bible, the sound of the shofar was historically used at various times, including at the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. Today, the shofar is used on the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, when that same sound has the unique power to wake up our soul to the presence of its Infinite source, and to renew a vision of the spiritual connection we are meant to build in this world.
Material: Kudu Horn
Choices: half-polished and fully-polished
The fully-polished shofars are sanded and polished until glowing and shiny, bringing out colors under the surface for an impressive effect.
The half-polished shofars are achieved by cleaning and forming the shofar but leaving one length of the shofar as closely resembling the horn in it’s natural state as possible and on the other side the shofar is sanded and polished until the colors under the surface are exposed and shiny.
Size: 27" to 29" " long *Measurement is around the outside curve of the Shofar
Please note: Due to the individual nature of each shofar, the color and texture will vary from the shofar pictured.
