Olive Wood Nativity Carving

Olive wood carved to depict the scene of the birth of Jesus.  Nativity features Joseph, Mary, baby Jesus, an angel, a king, and animals.  The top of the stable is olive wood bark which gives it a wonderfully rustic look.  A star is overhead representing the star in Matthew 2 that guided the wise men to the newborn king. Nativity has a small glass enclosure where you will see a small piece of holy land incense.

This very day, in the town of David, there was born for you a Deliverer who is the Messiah, the Lord.  Here is how you will know: "you will find a baby wrapped in cloth and lying in a feeding trough." Suddenly, along with the angel was a vast army from heaven praising God:  "In the highest heaven, glory to God! And on earth, peace among people of good will!" (Luke 2:11-14 CJB)

After Yeshua (Jesus in Hebrew) was born in Beit-Lechem (Bethlehem) in the land of Y’hudah (Judah) during the time when Herod was king, Magi from the east came to Yerushalayim and asked, “Where is the newborn King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.”  (Matthew 2:1-2 CJB)
