Fishermen Hand Carved in Olive Wood

This olive wood carving is an incredibly detailed representation of the Bible account where Jesus tells the fishermen to cast their nets again.  It is a truly stunning piece of art work on a two-layered solid wood base.  The carving depicts Jesus and two diciples in a boat with the nets over the side.  This section is approximately 5 1/2 inches long by 2 1/2 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches high.

And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.”
So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.
(John 21:6)

The base is made from wood that is carved into an oval shape.  The bottom is 7 inches long by 5 inches wide and 7/8 inch high.  The edges are carved into four layers that slightly decrease to the top.  Secured on top of this base is a beautifully carved piece of olive wood that is 5 5/8 inches long by 3 7/8 inches wide 1/2 inch high.   The edges are carved into a beautiful scallop pattern that resembles gentle waves.

Made from the highest quality olive wood this piece is hand carved by a Christian family in the town of Bethlehem, the village where Yeshua (Jesus) was born.

This is a genuine olive wood item that is hand crafted in the Holy Land. Each item is unique due to its hand crafting, color and grain pattern.  The appearance of small cracks in the wood is a natural occurance of natural olive wood.

Size (Approx.):  7 inches long by 5 inches wide and 4 3/8 inches high.
